Plasma Pen Fibroblast Treatment in Melbourne

At Medix Skincare & Laser Clinic, we utilise the LOUISE WALSH PLASMA PEN ULTRA. This Plasma Pen device is tailored for experienced aesthetics and medical professionals. It is designed to serve as the foundation for fundamental treatments while also accommodating more advanced and specialised procedures. These encompass treatments such as acne scar revision, skin tag and mole removal, pigmentation correction, and advanced resurfacing and rejuvenation procedures.

Our Plasma Pen is crafted in Germany and holds independent verification and validation of CE Certification from various UKAS testing stations. It is both FDA registered and TGA approved. The exclusive medical-grade stainless-steel nano-probes we use are single-use and disposable.

What is Plasma pen fibroblast treatment?

The Plasma Pen introduces a revolutionary approach to non-invasive skin lifting and tightening, effectively addressing various skin concerns. This innovative face lifting treatment harnesses advanced technology, which has received approval from both the FDA and TGA.

Plasma pen treatment, also known as fibroblast therapy, offers a non-invasive solution for loose skin and wrinkles, often targeting areas around the eyes, mouth, and neck. This FDA-approved procedure stimulates fibroblasts to generate collagen, leading to a remarkable improvement in loose skin and wrinkles.

If you’re seeking a solution for sagging skin on the face, neck, or other areas, this treatment holds the answer.

Furthermore, this treatment serves as a non-surgical alternative to blepharoplasty. It effectively tightens the skin around the eye area, reduces dark circles, and eliminates eye bags.

Simply put, our Plasma pen handpiece converts electrical energy into electrostatic energy, generating artificial nitrogen plasma. This plasma energy is produced by ionising the gases between the handpiece and the skin, transforming them into plasma energy.

Essentially, the high-temperature atmospheric nitrogen plasma energy is rapidly transferred to the skin’s epidermal layer with unparalleled precision. This process simultaneously heats and affects the deeper dermal structure through thermal conduction. Consequently, it establishes a dual zone of micro-trauma and superficial micro-damage within the epidermis, accompanied by inner thermal modification within the dermis. The term ‘Fibroblast treatment’ stems from the specific impact of this thermal modification on fibroblast cells.

What area can be treated with Plasma pen fibroblast?

The Plasma Pen offers versatile applications for addressing loose, sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles on various body areas. Commonly targeted regions encompass the upper and lower eyelids, crow’s feet, upper lip, jawline, nasolabial lines, and neck. Furthermore, Plasma Fibroblast treatment effectively diminishes the visibility of concerns such as acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, and skin lesions

Some of the most common applications for Plasma fibroblast treatment are:

Removing sagging & excess skin

This non-surgical skin tightening technique is applicable to nearly any body area affected by loose skin due to ageing or weight loss. It finds common application as a neck treatment for sagging skin and jowls elimination, among other concerns.

Eyelid tightening or nonsurgical blepharoplasty

Fibroblast skin tightening effectively addresses concerns like hooded eyelids, drooping ‘bags,’ and under-eye puffiness. Over time, the skin under the eyes can sag due to gravity, resulting in the formation of eye bags. The loss of lid elasticity contributes to saggy appearance. If you’re seeking visible results without opting for surgical procedures, consider the Plasma skin tightening option for blepharoplasty.

Fibroblast therapy presents an excellent non-surgical alternative to traditional eye lift surgery, including both blepharoplasty and lower eyelid surgery. The non-surgical eye lift through Fibroblast offers remarkable and immediate results. Additionally, recovery time post this procedure is minimal. Unlike surgical methods, it doesn’t involve open wounds or stitches.

Removing wrinkles & fine lines

As we age, our skin naturally becomes thinner. The protective layer of collagen dilutes, rendering the skin more delicate. This thinning allows wrinkles to form more easily. If you’re seeking a non-invasive solution to address facial wrinkles, we recommend exploring fibroblast therapy.

Fibroblast therapy effectively stimulates collagen production, promoting taut and rejuvenated skin. Plasma pen treatments deliver impressive, non-surgical, and enduring outcomes, requiring minimal downtime and offering a swift recovery. This skin tightening procedure effectively targets concerns such as crow’s feet, accordion lines, furrows, laugh lines, and marionette lines. Additionally, it’s capable of addressing laugh lines around the mouth area.

Skin tag removal, mole removal, warts removal

Experience the convenience of touch-free tag and mole removal with the Plasma Pen. Our advanced technique ensures the safe and effective elimination of benign moles and skin tags. The Plasma Pen harnesses the power of plasma energy, gently penetrating the skin’s outer layer and facilitating the effortless removal of moles and skin tags. What sets this procedure apart is its exceptional safety profile – there’s no need to worry about bleeding or scarring. Unlike traditional methods that involve cutting or stitching the skin, the Plasma Pen approach guarantees a risk-free process.

Sunspots treatment & milia removal

With this innovative technology, we offer effective treatments that safely and precisely target a range of pigmentation concerns, including sunspots and age spots, helping you achieve a more even and radiant complexion. Additionally, Plasma Pen technology is adept at safely treating milia, further enhancing its versatility and efficacy.

What happens during Fibroblast skin tightening treatment?

At Medix Skincare & Laser Clinic, we prioritise a comprehensive assessment of your skin as the starting point. Our evaluation gauges your skin’s suitability for the desired treatment and delves into the specifics of the targeted area. This allows us to recommend a tailored treatment plan, aligning with your skin type and condition. Before embarking on this non-invasive facelift journey, we cleanse your skin to remove all cosmetic products. Subsequently, we apply numbing cream to ensure your comfort during the Plasma Pen treatment. This cream effectively minimises discomfort caused by the procedure and is allowed to take effect for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. After this, the Fibroblast treatment ensues.

Throughout the skin tightening process, you may experience slight discomfort, mitigated by the numbing cream applied earlier. Most individuals find the fibroblast skin tightening treatment quick and quite tolerable.

The Plasma Pen treatment employs a pen-like tool without direct contact with the skin. Positioned about 1mm from the skin’s surface, the Plasma Pen tool generates precise arcs of plasma energy, resembling tiny sparks of light. These plasma energy arcs are directed onto the skin in rapid bursts. The energy sublimates or evaporates the targeted skin tissue without affecting the surrounding areas. This results in the evaporation of the specific skin tissue, leading to an immediate retraction of excess skin around the treated region. Fibroblast therapy causes the formation of minute brown spots on the skin, referred to as carbon crusts. These crusts induce an instant tightening, lifting, and contouring effect, simultaneously triggering skin renewal.

What should I expect after the Plasma pen face lifting treatment?

Following the procedure, you might notice redness and swelling around the treated area. These effects typically last for a day or two before easing. Expect the emergence of brown crusts the day after treatment. These crusts tend to persist for 2 to 7 days (varies based on skin health and characteristics). It’s vital not to pick at these crusts, as they play a crucial role in the healing process by safeguarding the new skin underneath. Typically, the skin fully recovers within 10 days.

Are there any side effects and downtime for Plasma Fibroblast treatment?

Often, a single treatment can yield striking results. However, the number of sessions required depends on personal expectations, treatment area, skin condition, and age. Some clients might require additional sessions based on their skin’s laxity.

Results will continue to improve during the months following the procedure, potentially lasting up to three years. In some cases, they can even become permanent, making it an outstanding alternative to other treatments.

The minimum interval between treatments is 12 weeks. We’ll schedule a follow-up session for you 3 months after your procedure. It can take up to 3 months for new collagen fibers to form. At this point, another treatment can be performed to achieve your desired outcomes.

What else you need to know:

  • On average, the downtime on the face and neck is 8 days
  • Downtime average on the body is 10-14 days, depending on the area being treated and the intensity of the treatment
  • Redness, swelling and scabbing are common in the treatment area
  • Swelling may occur on the treated area and usually peaks around day 3, and disappears within 2-3 days
  • After day 3, swelling subsides and brown crusts form
  • Crusts on the skin normally fall off within 4 to 7 days after treatment (for face and neck)
  • After an upper and lower eye lift, we recommend allowing two or three days before resuming normal activities
  • A large treatment area beyond the eyelids may require more downtime
  • Some clients may need to repeat the procedure in order to have the best results, or to maintain their condition

Please be aware that the indicated days serve as guidelines for average healing time. Not adhering to the aftercare protocol can potentially compromise healing time and results. This protocol includes refraining from alcohol consumption, smoking, and picking/scrubbing. If your health is compromised in any way, it might also extend your healing time and impact your results negatively.

The Plasma Pen treatment is relatively safe, especially in comparison to more invasive cosmetic procedures. However, like any procedure, it’s not completely without risks. It’s crucial to review and understand the contraindications before proceeding with the treatment.

How many treatments are recommended?

Often, just one treatment can yield dramatic results. However, the required number of sessions hinges on personal expectations, treatment area, skin condition, and age. Some clients might need additional sessions based on their skin’s laxity.

Results will continue to enhance during the months after the procedure, potentially lasting up to three years, and in some cases, even becoming permanent, establishing it as an excellent alternative to other treatments.

What should I do before and after the treatment?

Before treatment

  • It is advisable to avoid sun exposure during the month leading up to your Plasma Pen treatment. If you anticipate sun exposure, remember to apply high SPF sunscreen each time you go outside.
  • Refrain from undergoing other skin treatments in the 4 weeks prior to your treatment. This includes waxing, peeling, laser treatments, and any type of skin resurfacing.
  • Ensure that the treatment area is cleanly shaven and hair-free before your appointment.

After treatment

  • Avoid water and hot showers for a day, and don’t scrub, scratch or rub the treated area until your skin is healed
  • Avoid sun exposure; when going out, apply SPF and keep the treated area covered in order to protect your skin from UV rays
  • Avoid vigorous workouts, saunas and pools for at least 4 weeks after your treatment
  • Avoid other skin treatments 6 weeks following your treatment
  • Don’t wear make-up until any redness and swelling has gone away
  • Allow crusts to heal naturally – do not pick them or rub them
  • Do not use any exfoliant skincare products for up to eight weeks after treatment

What results can I expect after the treatment?

A successful Fibroblast skin tightening treatment triggers collagen production to an extent where the results can last for multiple years. You’ll notice immediate skin tightening and continued enhancement over the next three months. It has been proven to yield remarkable clinical outcomes for both the epidermis and dermis. This means it can hinder or slow down many of the negative effects of aging, like premature degeneration of dermal elastic tissue.

After Fibroblast therapy, the dermis becomes stronger and more flexible. This promotes the reduction or complete removal of medium-deep wrinkles, and notably improves and softens deep wrinkles

When will I see the result ?

Many clients experience transformative changes within days and witness remarkable improvements in treated areas by the sixth week. Complete results unveil after three months. If you’re prepared to proceed with your non-surgical Plasma Pen treatment, reach out to Medix Skincare & Laser Clinic today
