Laser skin rejuvenation works by stimulating collagen production, effectively reducing fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful, refreshed appearance.
Aftercare Laser Skin Rejuvenation
- Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF daily, even on cloudy days, to protect your skin and maintain results.
- Heat & Activity: Refrain from hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and swimming pools for 7 days. Also avoid intense workouts for at least 24 hours to prevent further irritation.
- Gentle Skincare Routine: Cleanse with a mild, non-abrasive cleanser. Follow with your moisturiser and SPF. Avoid scrubbing or harsh products during recovery.
- Avoid Makeup: Wait until redness and flaking subside before applying makeup. If necessary, opt for mineral-based makeup and use clean brushes or applicators.
- Let Scabs Heal Naturally: If scabbing occurs, do not pick. Let your skin shed naturally to avoid scarring and infection.
- No Exfoliation: Hold off on exfoliants, scrubs, AHAs, BHAs, and retinoids for at least 7 days or as advised by your practitioner.
- No Other Skin Treatments: Avoid waxing, chemical peels, microneedling, or other resurfacing procedures for at least 2 weeks before and after your laser session.

What to Expect After Laser Treatment
- Skin sensitivity: It’s normal for your skin to appear slightly red and feel warm—similar to a mild sunburn. Apply a soothing, hydrating serum or gel recommended by your clinician to support recovery.
- Scabbing on pigmentation: You may notice mild scabbing or darkening on treated pigmented spots. This is a normal part of the healing process. Avoid picking—these areas will naturally flake off as your skin renews.
- Skin purging: Some breakouts may occur as your skin purges impurities. This is temporary and usually resolves on its own. Keep the skin clean and avoid touching active breakouts.
